For all of Starkwhite’s 33 years, we’ve had office cats. They’re our daily companions and a constant bright spot. They help keep us grounded; they console us when times are stressful, and they’re a welcome distraction when we just need to take a minute (or forced to do so because they’re sitting on the keyboard!). Fortunately, we’re past the days of drafting tables and Spray Mount—where abundant cat hairs were uninvited guests.
In addition to our own, we’ve fed a number of strays who have wandered in and out of our lives—one, White Cat, was a regular guest for over 15 years.
We currently have three furry friends: Daisy (f), Chip (m) and our newest, Birdie (f; so named because she chirps). Recently, we had Luna (f, whose picture brought you to this page) and Frankie (f). And The Originals—who are immortalized in our stamp self-promo—are: sister and brother, Josie and Seymour (respectively), Dotcat (f, aka Dot) and the grande dame, Hazel, a fluffy Manx.
Losing each of them was like a losing a piece of ourselves.
